The ROKMC is the 2nd largest marine corps in the world with over 27,000 soldiers.
It is the most formidable branch of the ROK military, with an undefeated record
and a 1:25 kill ratio during the Vietnam War.
Amongst the South Korean military personnel, onl y the marines are priviledged to wear
a red badge, which identifies them as part of the ROKMC.
