주 요 작 전
사단은 월남중동부 해안지역의 1번 도로와 해안을 따라 깊이 270km,폭50km에 달하는
TAOR지역을 확보하고 이곳에 위치하고 있는 주요도시와 항만에 있는 군사시설을 보호
해 왔으며 또항 전술지역 내외에 침투하고 있는 적을 격멸하여 왔다.
특히 69년 이후 주요작전만도 백마9호,11호 그리고 동보15호, 18호,성마72-1호 작전등을
전개하여 한국군의 용맹을 과시하였다.
Major Operation of 9th Division
Holding a TAOR, 270 kilometers in length and 50 kilometers in width,along the Highway
#1 near the east of a beach area, the mission of the Divsion was to prtect the important
cities and town as well as the military installations in the area and to deny and repel
the enemy penetration into the assigned zone.
Especially,the Division,famed as "White Horse' displayed the bravery of the ROK forces
when it conducted Operations Backma 9,11, Dong Bo 15, 18 and Sungma 72-1
since1969.
