A formation of Tiger's APC maneuvering to a new operational area.


번개 23호 작전 (1971. 9.9 부터
1971. 9.21까지)

참가부대; 기갑연대 및 제26연대 제 1대대
적 군; 월맹군K-9중대.VC 병원 및 생산 요원.
활동개요 ; 연대는 Hong Dong (산)과 KyLo계곡 및 Suoi Dap (계곡) 일대에 전개하여
적정과 지형에 따라 중대장 재량으로 탐색속도를 조정하고 접적을 계속
유지하면서 적을 포착 격멸하였다.
전 과 ; 사살 173명, 포로 4명, 개인화기 78명, 공용화기 4문.
손 실 ; 부상 4명.


Operation Bungae 23

ROK Forces ; The Cav Regt and 1st Bn of the 26th Regt.
Enemy ; K-9th Company, NVA and VC troops and muntion production
personnel.
Outline ; With the support of the 1st Bn of the26th Regt, the Cavaly Regt
conducted a thirteenday long action in the whole area of Mt.Dong
as well as the Ky Lo and Dap valleys.Leaving the detailed courses
of action to each company commander's discrection, according to
errain feature,it resulted in a great success as a whole.
Results ; Killed 173 enemy,4 POWs. captured 78 indiv and 4 crew-served wpns.
Losses ; 4 WIA.
